Vanessa Castro (b. 1993) is a multi-media artist that specializes in video, new media, and music. Her videos have screened at Fantoche International Animation Film Festival, Ridgewood Off-Kilter, Grrl Haus, King’s Leap, along others. She currently works as a video editor and colorist, and has edited, animated and colored for major media outlets, brands, and film distributors as well as film projects that have gone to Sundance and SXSW.
Her artwork has been shown with David Zwirner, Knockdown Center, Theta, Goggleworks Center for the Arts, and other local and international spaces.
Outside of visuals, she makes Tropicália inspired art-rock
